Description

　「それとも」は、選択肢を示す接続詞で、前後の文を対比させて、どちらか一方を選ぶことを求めるときに使われます。選択肢を提示する疑問文でよく使われます。「それとも」is a conjunction used to indicate a choice, often used in questions presenting two options. It contrasts two things and asks for one to be selected. Similar to "or” in English.

Examples

コーヒーにしますか？それとも、お茶ちゃにしますか？Will you have coffee? Or, will you have tea?

今日きょう行いきますか？それとも、明日あした行いきますか？Are you going today? Or, are you going tomorrow?

犬いぬが好すきですか？それとも、猫ねこが好すきですか？Do you like dogs? Or, do you like cats?

歩あるいて行いきますか？それとも、自転車じてんしゃで行いきますか？Will you walk? Or, will you go by bicycle?

映画館えいがかんで映画えいがを見みますか？それとも、家いえで見みますか？Will you watch a movie at the theater? Or, will you watch it at home?
