形容詞語幹 + め

Description

　「〜め」は、形容詞の語幹に接続して使われ、その形容詞が表す性質や特徴が強調される時に使われる表現です。「〜め」 connects to the stem of adjectives to emphasize their degree or characteristic.

Examples

彼女かのじょは辛からめの料理りょうりが好すきだ。She likes food that’s a bit on the spicy side.

この服ふくは少すこし暗くらめだから、もっと明あかるい色いろにしたい。This outfit is a little dark, so I'd like to change it to a lighter color.

この絵えは青あおめの色いろを多おおく使つかっている。This painting uses a lot of blue tones.
