派生語とは、元の単語に接頭語や接尾語が付ついてできた単語です。
A derivative is a word formed by adding a prefix or suffix to an original word.
接頭語
接頭語とは、単独では用いられず、常に他の単語の前に付いて意味を添えたりする言葉です。
A prefix cannot be used on its own; it is always attached to the front of another word to add meaning.

接尾語
接尾語とは、単独では用いられず、常に他の単語の後ろに付いて意味を添えたりする言葉です。
A suffix cannot be used on its own; it is always attached to the back of another word to add meaning.
