なん

　「なん」は、物や事柄の性質について尋ねるときに使われる疑問詞で、「なに」と同様、漢字は「何」と書きます。「なん」は、少し抽象的な意味合いを持ち、状況や背景、属性を尋ねる際に使われることが多く、より軽いニュアンスがあります。一方、「なに」は、より具体的な物や内容について尋ねるニュアンスが強く、対象そのものに焦点が当たります。  「なん」is an interrogative word used to ask about the nature of objects or things. Like “なに,” it is written as “何” in kanji. “なん” has a more abstract meaning and is used when inquiring about situations, backgrounds, or attributes, often with a lighter nuance. In contrast, “なに” has a stronger nuance of asking about specific objects or content, focusing on the object itself. Similar to "what” in English.
