Description

　この文型は、物事の結果や決定、あるいは自然な成り行きを表す表現です。話者がその決定や結果に直接関与していない場合に使われることが多いです。 This sentence pattern expresses a result, decision, or natural consequence, often used when the speaker is not directly involved in the decision.

Examples

来月らいげつから東京とうきょうで働はたらくことになる。I ended up working in Tokyo from next month.

試験しけんに合格ごうかくしなかったので、もう一度いちど受うけることになりました。I didn’t pass the exam, so I ended up having to take it again.

天気てんきが悪わるかったので、旅行りょこうをキャンセルすることになった。The weather was bad so we had to cancel the trip.
