Description

　「〜ついでに」は、ある行動をする機会を利用して、他の行動も一緒に行うことを表す表現です。主に、何かを行う同時に別のことを済ませたいときに使われます。「〜ついでに」expresses doing something else while taking the opportunity to do another thing. It is used when the speaker wants to accomplish another task while doing something else.

Examples

買かい物ものに行いくついでに、郵便局ゆうびんきょくに寄よってきた。While I was out shopping, I stopped by the post office.

仕事帰しごとがえりのついでに、コンビニで牛乳ぎゅうにゅうを買かった。On my way back from work, I picked up some milk at the convenience store.

旅行りょこうのついでに、昔むかし住すんでいた町まちを訪おとずれた。During my trip, I visited the town where I used to live.

映画えいがを見みるついでに、ショッピングモールで買かい物ものをした。While I was at the cinema, I did some shopping at the mall.
