説明

　「ほとんど」は、数量や程度がほぼ完全であることを表す副詞です。主に肯定文で「ほぼ全部」という意味で使われる一方、否定文とともに使用すると、非常に少ないことを表します。　「ほとんど」is an adverb indicating that something is nearly complete or nearly all of something. In affirmative sentences, it means “almost all,” but when used in negative sentences, it indicates very little. Similar to "nearly” in English.

例文

今日きょうはほとんど雨あめが降ふりませんでした。It hardly rained today.

このプロジェクトはほとんど完了かんりょうしています。This project is almost complete.
