主に動画編集です。たまにゲームもしますけど、メインは編集ですね。

なるほど。それならスペックが結構重要ですね。ノートパソコンとデスクトップ、どっちを考えてますか？

そこが悩みなんです。持ち運べるノートも便利ですけど、性能的にはデスクトップの方がいいですよね？
A :
That’s what I’m struggling with. Laptops are portable, but desktops have better performance, right?
B :
はい。動画編集なら、CPUとGPUがしっかりしたデスクトップの方がおすすめです。特に4K動画とか扱うなら。
B :
Yes. For video editing, I’d definitely recommend a desktop with a strong CPU and GPU, especially if you’ll handle 4K footage.
A :
やっぱりそうですよね。でも、家があまり広くないから場所も気になるんですよね。
A :
I figured as much… but my place isn’t very big, so I’m a bit worried about space.
B :
最近はコンパクトなデスクトップもありますよ。モニター一体型とか、小型ケースのモデルも人気です。
B :
Lately there are compact desktops too—like all-in-ones or small-form-factor models. They’re popular.
A :
なるほど。ちなみに、動画編集用ならどのスペックを目安にすればいいですか？

I see. For video editing, what kind of specs should I aim for?
B :
CPUはCore i7かRyzen 7以上、メモリは最低16GB。
B :
At least a Core i7 or Ryzen 7 CPU, and 16GB of RAM.
B :
ストレージはSSDが必須ですね。それに、グラフィックボードが付いているとさらに快適ですよ。
B :
And you’ll need an SSD. A dedicated graphics card will also make things much smoother.
A :
