【会話内容】
社長 :
こんにちは。どうぞお掛けください。
President :
Hello. Please have a seat.
学生 :
ありがとうございます。早稲田大学経済学部国際貿易専攻の李華と申します。本日はどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
Student :
Thank you. My name is Li Hua, majoring in International Trade at Waseda University. I appreciate your time today.
社長 :
こちらこそ。李さんは日本に来てどのくらいになりますか？
President :
Likewise. How long have you been in Japan?
学生 :
今年で3年になります。大学では国際貿易を学び、日本とアジアの経済関係に興味を持ちました。
Student :
This is my third year. I study international trade at university, and I became interested in economic relations between Japan and Asia.
社長 :
なるほど。日本で働こうと思ったきっかけは何ですか？
President :
I see. What made you want to work in Japan?
学生 :
はい。留学を通して日本の企業の誠実さやチームワークの文化に強く惹かれたからです。
Student :
Well, through studying abroad, I was strongly attracted to the sincerity of Japanese companies and their teamwork culture.
学生 :
自分もそうした環境の中で成長し、将来は日本とアジアをつなぐ架け橋になりたいと思いました。
Student :
I want to grow in such an environment myself and eventually become a bridge between Japan and Asia.
社長 :
とても良い考えですね。では、仕事をするうえで大切だと思うことは何ですか？
President :
That’s a wonderful idea. So, what do you value most when working?
学生 :
私は「信頼」と「継続」だと思います。
Student :
I value Trust and Continuity.
学生 :
どんなに小さな約束でも守ることで信頼が生まれると思っていますし、その積み重ねが長い関係につながると考えています。
Student :
I believe that keeping even small promises builds trust, and that accumulation leads to long-term relationships.
学生 :
また、何でもすぐに結果を求めず、継続するということも大事だと思います。
Student :
Also, I think it’s important not to expect immediate results and to keep going steadily.
社長 :
その通りですね。李さんにとって「働く」というのはどういう意味がありますか？
President :
Exactly. What does Working mean to you?
学生 :
働くことは、自分の力を社会に活かすことだと思います。お客様や取引先の方々に貢献しながら、自分自身も成長していきたいです。
Student :
I believe that working means contributing my abilities to society. I want to grow while contributing to customers and business partners.
社長 :
素晴らしい考えです。では、将来的にはどんな人材になりたいですか？
President :
That’s an excellent view. Then what kind of professional do you want to become in the future?
学生 :
はい。国際的なビジネスの現場で信頼される人になりたいです。
Student :
I want to be someone who is trusted in international business settings.
学生 :
語学力だけでなく、相手の文化や価値観を理解できる視野の広い社会人を目指しています。
Student :
Not only in language skills, but I aim to become a person with a broad perspective who understands others’ cultures and values.
社長 :
とても前向きですね。李さんのような方なら、当社でも活躍できると思います。最後に、何か聞いておきたいことはありますか？
President :
Very positive. Someone like you would definitely succeed in our company. Lastly, do you have any questions?
学生 :
はい。御社では若手社員が海外プロジェクトに参加する機会はありますか？
Student :
Yes. Are there opportunities for young employees to join overseas projects?
社長 :
もちろんです。入社2〜3年目から現地の担当者と一緒にプロジェクトに参加してもらうこともありますよ。
President :
Of course. From the second or third year after joining, there are chances to participate in projects with local staff.
学生 :
ありがとうございます。ますます御社で働きたい気持ちが強くなりました。
Student :
Thank you. This makes me want to work at your company even more.
社長 :
それはうれしいですね。本日はありがとうございました。結果は近日中に人事部よりご連絡します。
President :
I’m glad to hear that. Thank you for today. We will contact you with the result shortly through our HR department.
学生 :
