丁重語
謙譲語は、謙譲語Ⅰと謙譲語Ⅱに分けられることもあります。謙譲語Ⅰは、謙譲語と呼ばれ、謙譲語Ⅱは、丁重語と呼ばれます。
謙譲語は、話し手が謙ることで、行為の受け手を立てます。
丁重語は、話し手が謙ることで、話の聞き手を立てます。
Humble language is sometimes divided into Humble Language I and Humble Language II. Humble Language I is called humble language, and Humble Language II is called courteous language.
With humble language, the speaker humbles themselves to raise up the receiver of the action.
With courteous language, the speaker humbles themselves to raise up the listener.
お(ご)～いたす
「お(ご)」と「いたす」の間に動詞ます形を挟むことで、丁重語にすることができます。
By placing the 「ます」 stem of a verb between 「お(ご)」 and 「いたす」, you can form courteous language.
例
ここで待つ。 → ここでお待ちいたします。
これから、説明します。 → これから、ご説明いたします。
言い換え
動詞が特別な形に変化することによって、丁重の意味を表します。
Courteousness can be expressed by changing a verb into a special form.
