挨拶
おはようございます
基本的には朝の挨拶で、仕事上では、時間に関係なく使う場合があります。
Good morning: basically a morning greeting, though at work it is sometimes used regardless of the time.
こんにちは
昼の挨拶で、友人同士ではあまり使いません。
Hello / good afternoon: a daytime greeting, not often used among friends.
こんばんは
夜の挨拶で、友人同士ではあまり使いません。
Good evening: an evening greeting, not often used among friends.
おやすみなさい
寝るときに使う挨拶で、夜に人と別れるときにも使います。
Good night: a greeting used before going to sleep, also used when parting from someone at night.
さようなら
もう会わない可能性が高いとき、またニュースの最後や授業の終わりなどに使う挨拶です。
Goodbye: a farewell used when you may well not meet again, and also at the end of a news broadcast or a class.
失礼します
退社するときや、ビジネスなどで電話を切るときに使う挨拶です。
Excuse me (I'll be going): used when leaving work, or when hanging up the phone in business settings.
バイバイ・じゃあね
主に友人同士や親しい間柄で、次に会うことが予想できる場合に使う挨拶です。
Bye-bye / see you: a farewell used among friends and close acquaintances, or when you expect to meet again.
お久しぶりです
暫く会わなかった人に会ったときや、連絡をしていなかった人に連絡をするときに使う挨拶です。
Long time no see: used when meeting someone you have not seen for a while, or contacting someone you have not been in touch with.
いただきます
食事を与えてくれた人に対する感謝の気持ちを表す食事の前の挨拶です。
Said before a meal: a greeting that expresses gratitude to the person who provided the food.
ごちそうさまでした
食事を与えてくれた人に対する感謝の気持ちを表す食事の後の挨拶です。
Said after a meal: a greeting that expresses gratitude to the person who provided the food.
ありがとうございます
お礼や感謝の挨拶です。
Thank you: a greeting expressing thanks and gratitude.
お疲れさまです
相手の苦労を労うとき、特に職場で使う挨拶です。
Good work / thanks for your effort: a greeting used to acknowledge someone's effort, especially in the workplace.
ごめんなさい
人に謝るときの謝罪の挨拶です。
I'm sorry: used when apologizing to someone.
すみません
人に声をかけるときや、謝罪するときの挨拶です。
Excuse me / sorry: used when calling out to someone, or when apologizing.
いってきます
自分が出かけるときの挨拶です。
I'm off: said when you yourself are leaving the house.
いってらっしゃい
出かける人を送り出すときの挨拶です。
Take care / have a good day: said to see off someone who is leaving.
ただいま
帰ってきたことを伝えるときの挨拶です。
I'm home: said when you announce that you have returned.
おかえりなさい
帰ってきた人を迎えるときの挨拶です。
Welcome back: said to welcome someone who has returned.
