動詞て形 + ては

Description

「ては」は、動詞て形に接続して使われ、主な用法には以下の三つがあります： 1.条件：ある行動や状況が成立すると、それに伴って結果が生じることを示します。 2.繰り返し：同じ動作や状況が繰り返されることを表します。 3.評価：ある行動や状況についての評価や感想を述べるときに使われます。「ては」is used with the verb’s te-form and has three main uses: 1.Condition: It indicates that when a certain action or situation is fulfilled, a result will occur. 2.Repetition: It indicates that the same action or situation will happen repeatedly. 3.Evaluation: It is used to express evaluations or impressions about an action or situation.

Examples

こんなに雨あめが降ふっては、外出がいしゅつできない。If it rains this much, we can’t go out.

彼かれは本ほんを読よんではメモを取とっている。He keeps reading books and taking notes.

そんなに食たべては太ふとるよ。If you eat that much, you’ll gain weight.

こんなに遅おそくまで起おきていては、体からだに悪わるいよ。If you stay up this late, it’s bad for your health.

子こどもは不安ふあんで母親ははおやを呼よんでは泣なき、呼よんでは泣なきを繰くり返かえした。The child was anxious and kept calling out to his mother, crying, and calling out again and again.
