Description

　この文型は、前に述べたことが事実であることを認めつつも、実際の状況や程度がそれとは異なることを強調する表現で、話し手が何かを説明するときに、相手の期待や想像を修正したり、補足的な情報を提供するために使われます。 This sentence pattern is used to acknowledge that something stated previously is true but emphasizes that the actual situation or degree is different from what was expected. It is used to correct or provide additional information to modify someone’s expectations.

Examples

料理りょうりができるといっても、簡単かんたんなものしか作つくれません。Even though I say I can cook, I can only make simple dishes.
