Description

　この文型は、他人の行動や状況によって自分が同じ状態に置かれることを表す表現で、自分の意思に関係なく、ある状況や指示に従う場合や、受動的にその状態が続く場合に使われます。 This sentence pattern indicates that one’s situation or state changes according to someone else’s action or situation, and the speaker is passively influenced by that action or situation.

Examples

運命うんめいに流ながされるままに生いきている。I am living my life being carried along by fate.

彼女かのじょは言いわれるままに、指示しじに従したがった。She followed the instructions as she was told.

流ながされるままに彼かれの言いうことに従したがった。I followed what he said, being swept along.

相手あいての言いうまま、彼かれはお金かねを渡わたしてしまった。He did as he was told and handed over the money.

相手あいてのペースに乗のせられるまま、試合しあいに負まけてしまった。I ended up losing the match, being played at my opponent’s pace.
