Description

　この文型は、ある事柄に加えて、さらに別の事柄が続くことを表す表現です。後件が前件よりもさらに強調された内容であることが多いです。「〜だけでなく」の意味を持ちます。 This sentence pattern indicates that in addition to a certain matter, something else follows. The latter part is often a stronger or more emphasized idea than the former. It has a similar meaning to「〜だけでなく」.

このプロジェクトは時間じかんがかかるばかりか、費用ひようも多おおくかかる。This project not only takes time but also costs a lot of money.
