Description

　この文型は、実現が難しいことが実現したと仮定して、それが可能であればやりたいという願望や意志を表す表現です。 This sentence pattern expresses a desire or intention, assuming that something difficult to achieve were possible, and emphasizes the speaker’s wish to do it if that were the case.

Examples

時間じかんが戻もどせるものなら、もう一度いちどやり直なおしたい。If I could turn back time, I would like to start over.

行いけるものなら、今いますぐにでも行いきたい。If I could go, I would want to go right now.

帰かえれるものなら、故郷こきょうに帰かえりたい。If I could go back, I would want to return to my hometown.

休やすめるもんなら、一週間いっしゅうかんくらい休やすみたいよ。If I could take a break, I would want to take a week off.

忘わすれられるもんなら、すぐに忘わすれたい。If I could forget, I would forget it immediately.
