Description

　この文型は、ある事柄が当然そうであることを前提に、それに加えて他の事柄も同様であることを強調する表現です。「〜はもとより」はやや硬い表現で、書き言葉として使われることが多いです。 This sentence pattern expresses that not only a certain matter but also others are naturally included.「〜はもとより」is a more formal expression, often used in written language.
