だれ・どなた

　「だれ」は、相手の名前や身元を尋ねるときに使われる疑問詞で、主に親しい人や同世代に対して使われ、日常会話で広く使用されます。一方、「どなた」は「だれ」の丁寧な表現で、フォーマルな場面や目上の人に対して使うのが適切です。　「だれ」is an interrogative word used to ask about a person’s name or identity. It is widely used in daily conversations with close friends or people of the same generation. On the other hand, 「どなた」is a polite expression of “だれ” and is appropriate for formal situations or when speaking to someone of higher status. Similar to "who” in English.
