こんな・そんな・あんな・どんな

　「こんな」「そんな」「あんな」「どんな」は、物事や状態の性質や特徴を指し示す指示語で、話し手や聞き手との距離感や関連性によって使い分けます。「こんな」は話し手に近い物事や状態の特徴、「そんな」は聞き手に近い物事や状態の特徴、「あんな」は話し手と聞き手のどちらからも離れた物事や状態の特徴を指します。「どんな」は、物事や状態の性質を尋ねるときに使います。　「こんな」「そんな」「あんな」「どんな」are demonstrative pronouns used to refer to the characteristics or features of things or situations. “こんな” refers to something close to the speaker, “そんな” to something near the listener, “あんな” to something far from both, and “どんな” is used to inquire about the characteristics of something. Similar to "like this”, "like that” and "like which” in English.
