ここ・そこ・あそこ・どこ

　「ここ」「そこ」「あそこ」「どこ」は、場所を指し示す指示語で、話し手や聞き手との距離によって使い分けます。「ここ」は話し手の近くにある場所、「そこ」は聞き手の近くにある場所、「あそこ」は話し手と聞き手のどちらからも離れた場所を指します。「どこ」は、場所を尋ねるときに使います。　「ここ」「そこ」「あそこ」「どこ」are demonstrative pronouns used to refer to places, with “ここ” indicating a place near the speaker, “そこ” a place near the listener, “あそこ” a place far from both, and “どこ” is used to ask where. Similar to "here”, "there” and "where” in English.
