Description

　この文型は、何かをしようとしたが、機会を逃してできなかったことを表す表現で、何かをしようとしたものの、タイミングや状況によって実行できなかったことを説明するときに使用されます。 This sentence pattern is used to describe an attempt to do something that was thwarted due to missed opportunities or circumstances. It conveys the inability to carry out an intended action because of timing or other factors.

Examples

朝寝坊あさねぼうして、電車でんしゃに乗のりそびれた。I overslept and missed the train.

仕事しごとが終おわらず、映画えいがを見みに行いきそびれた。I couldn’t finish my work and missed the movie.

結局けっきょく、タイミングを逃のがして、告白こくはくしそびれました。In the end, I missed the timing and couldn’t confess.
