Description

　この文型は、自分がある行動をしたと思っていたが、実際にはその行動をしていなかったことを表す表現です。意図的に行動しようとしたが、結果的にそれが実行されていなかったことを強調するときに使われます。 This sentence pattern expresses the realization that one thought they had performed an action, but in reality, they had not. It emphasizes the intent to act but the lack of execution.

Examples

予約よやくしたつもりが、まだ予約完了よやくかんりょうしていませんでした。I thought I had made the reservation, but it wasn’t confirmed yet.

彼女かのじょに謝あやまったつもりだったが、まだ彼女かのじょは怒おこっている。I thought I had apologized to her, but she’s still angry.
