　この文型は、一般的な期待や考えに反して、その答えが否定的であることを表す表現です。話し手の視点から、必ずしもそうではないと述べるときに使われます。　This sentence pattern is used to indicate that the answer or result is negative, contrary to general expectations or assumptions. It is used when the speaker expresses that something is not necessarily true from their perspective.

例文

日本料理にほんりょうりが好すきかと言いますと、実じつはそうでもないです。To tell you the truth, I don't really like Japanese food.

この問題もんだいは簡単かんたんそうに見みえるが、簡単かんたんかというと意外いがいに難むずかしい。This problem looks simple, but if you ask whether it’s really simple, it’s surprisingly difficult.
