形容詞のアクセント
1.辞書形のアクセント
形容詞の辞書形のアクセントは、次の2種類です。
There are two accent types for the dictionary form of an adjective.
TYPE-1
音の下がり目がない平板型です。
A flat type, with no pitch drop.
例
TYPE-2
最後の仮名とその直前の仮名の間に音の下がり目がある起伏型です。(多数の形容詞)
A rising-falling type, with the drop between the last kana and the kana just before it. Most adjectives belong here.
例
後ろから2拍目が長音のとき、音の下がり目は一つ前に動きます。
When the second mora from the end is a long vowel, the drop moves one mora earlier.

2.活用形のアクセント
形容詞の活用は、「変化する部分」と「変化しない部分」があります。活用しても変わらない部分を語幹と言います。
When an adjective conjugates, it has a part that changes and a part that does not. The part that stays the same is called the stem.
TYPE-1
音の下がり目がない平板型です。
基本的に活用しても、語幹の音は辞書形と変わりません。
A flat type, with no pitch drop.
As a rule, the stem keeps the same pitch as the dictionary form even when the word conjugates.

TYPE-2
最後の仮名とその直前の仮名の間に音の下がり目がある起伏型です。アクセントは2種類あります。
A rising-falling type, with the drop between the last kana and the kana just before it. Its accent splits into two kinds.
❶ 語幹の音が辞書形から変化しないもの
単語
❷ 語幹の音が変化して、頭高アクセントになるもの
単語
TYPE-2の形容詞は、辞書形以外はTYPE-1と同じアクセントの活用で読んでも違和感がないので、日常会話では、語幹の音を変えずに発音することも多いです。
Apart from the dictionary form, TYPE-2 adjectives sound perfectly natural even when conjugated with the same accent as TYPE-1, so in everyday conversation they are often pronounced without changing the pitch of the stem.

ただし、NHK『日本語発音アクセント辞典』にはTYPE-2のアクセントが書いてありますので、ニュースではTYPE-2のアクセントで発音されます。
That said, NHK's 『日本語発音アクセント辞典』 lists the TYPE-2 accent, so on the news it is pronounced with the TYPE-2 accent.
3.複合形容詞のアクセント
複合形容詞はいろいろな品詞の組み合わせがありますが、辞書形のアクセントは、基本的にTYPE-2になります。
Compound adjectives come from various combinations of parts of speech, but the accent of their dictionary form is basically TYPE-2.
