Description

　「〜ながらも」は、ある事柄や状況が存在しつつも、それに反する結果や状況が起きることを表す表現です。逆接のニュアンスを持ち、前件と後件の対比や矛盾を示します。「〜ながらも」indicates that despite one situation or condition, a contrary result or situation occurs. It shows the contradiction or contrast between the first and second parts of the sentence.

Examples

彼かれは若わかいながらも、非常ひじょうにしっかりしている。Although he is young, he is very reliable.

彼女かのじょは忙いそがしいながら、毎日まいにち時間じかんを割さいて勉強べんきょうしている。Although she is busy, she makes time to study every day.

彼女かのじょは疲つかれていながら、仕事しごとを続つづけた。Although she was tired, she continued working.

彼かれは失敗しっぱいを恐おそれながらも、新あたらしい挑戦ちょうせんに挑いどむことを決きめた。Although he fears failure, he decided to take on a new challenge.
